Four Dover softball players earn all-conference honors

Dover had four players recognized when the Skeltur Conference announced its all-conference team last week.Named to the team were Reiley Voth, Presley Squires and Brooklyn Martin.Maeli Turner earned honorable mention.Dover finished the year 7-17 despite a number of significant injuries.

A-B ends Okarche softball run in Class A regional final

Okarche made a strong push in its Class A softball regional.It just finally ran out of steam in the final stages.The Lady Warriors knocked off No. 13 Drummond 3-2 Friday in an elimination game to earn a shot at Arapaho-Butler in the regional title.

Plainview wins regional over KHS

Kingfisher’s hopes of pulling off a two-game sweep in a 4A softball regional on Friday were quickly dashed.Host Plainview plated six runs in the top of the first inning and thwarted Kingfisher’s comeback attempts to claim an 8-1 victory in the regional championship.

County cross country report

It’s been nearly a month since the Kingfisher High School girls cross country team has competed at full strength.That was Sept. 13 at the Class 4A Pre-State Meet at North Rock Creek when the Lady Jackets put together a solid performance and placed third.

Warriors hunting for state title

Okarche will be the top seed in this week’s Class A state baseball tournament.The top-ranked Warriors earned that right Thursday with a sweep of their regional competition on their home field.Okarche thumped Sterling 22-0 and then won the regional title with a 10-0 victory against No. 8 Union City.
