Hennessey played the Ponies on Thursday night… and won big yet again.The Eagles racked up nearly 400 rushing yards, scored over 40 points for the third straight game and tallied their fifth straight victory by downing visiting Kellyville 48-16.

Some Kingfisher County runners headed northwest last weekend for a final tune-up for the cross country postseason.The Lomega girls placed second as a team in the Nathan Thompson Memorial Cross Country Meet at Timberlake High School.Lomega notched 39 points, second only to Laverne’s 14.

XC teams learn regional assignments

Most county schools will have relatively short distances to travel for their cross country regionals this weekend.The lone exception is Lomega, which heads to Waurika.Regionals will be competed across the state this Saturday in Classes A, 2A, 3A and 4A.
