Ben Marsh and Chase Burton combined for 39 points as Lomega evened its record Friday night.The Raiders visited Enid and came home with an 82-33 victory against Oklahoma Bible Academy.Burton had the hot start as he scored eight points in the Raiders’ 17-1 run in the first quarter.

Cashion girls lock down Morrison

Morrison was shackled by Cashion’s defense for the better part of the game Friday.The result saw Cashion improve to 2-0 with its 47-23 win on the road.Up 9-8 after a quarter, Cashion allowed just four points over the next 16-plus minutes.That included shutting out Morrison in the third quarter.

Late Minco bucket spoils Hunt’s Hennessey debut

As coach Dallas Hunt said, “it came down to one play.”Unfortunately for Hunt and the Eagles, the play belonged to Minco.The visiting Bulldogs spoiled Hunt’s HHS coaching debut last Tuesday with a 43-42 victory at the Eagle Event Center.

A frantic final minute saw Cashion pull out an improbable 52-51 victory in the season opener Tuesday at Chisholm.Parker Mitchell made three free throws with .3 second remaining to give the Wildcats the game-clinching points, but it was a wild ride to that moment.

Okarche teams dominant during home sweep of Coyle

Coyle found offense hard to come by Tuesday night in Okarche.The Lady Bluejackets turned the ball over three dozen times as Okarche declared a 54-17 victory.It was Okarche’s second straight win as coach Brett Tahah’s team moved to 3-1.

Dover hosts Waukomis; begins play at Mustang Stampede

After having their threegame win streak snapped on Tuesday, the Dover girls rebounded to their winning ways two days later.The Lady Longhorns opened the Mustang Stampede at Pioneer with a 4924 victory over Coyle.On Tuesday, Dover was handed a 53-41 defeat at home by Waukomis.

Reese pieces together solid debut

There were several known pieces of this version of the Kingfisher High School girls basketball team that gave outsiders optimism about the upcoming season.There are also a couple of unknown pieces, one of them being newcomer Reese Roof.
