Cashion drops Week 10 game at Fairview

Fairview claimed second place in District A-I-1 Thursday with a 63-18 victory over visiting Cashion.(Ed. note: Due to “technical difficulties” that include a laptop, open-air press box and high winds, game stats were not available at press time and will be included in the Wednesday edition.

Russell, Cohee compete at state cross country...finally

Lomega’s Hunter Russell (left) and Dover’s Nathan Cohee (right) made a return trip to Edmond Santa Fe High School last Wednesday for the Class A boys state cross country meet. The race was originally scheduled the previous Saturday, the last of all the state races to be competed.

Dillingham, Drummond out-gun Marsh, Raiders

Colten Dillingham and Ben Marsh put on a show inside Lomega’s gym Tuesday night.It was Dillingham and his Drummond teammates who got to take home the win.Drummond answered every Lomega rally to earn a 68-63 victory, dropping Lomega to 1-1 on the season.

Lady Raiders beat the weather, finish 11th at state XC

In what turned out to be the final race of the day, the Lomega girls took 11th place in the Class A girls state cross country meet at Edmond Santa Fe.Class A boys was scheduled to be the final race, but lightning in the area halted the start of the race.

Lady Eagles land in top 5 of 2A state meet

Cheyenne Baxter was hoping for a top-five finish.And she got it. The Hennessey cross country coach watched Saturday as her Lady Eagles ran to fifth place in the Class 2A state cross country meet at Edmond Santa Fe.

Snodgrass earns All-State; KHS girls 6th

Scout Snodgrass made two trips to the medal stand at the Class 4A state cross country meet.The Kingfisher High School junior placed ninth Saturday and was among the 15 medalists recognized during a ceremony after the race at Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Third-ranked Stroud too much for Eagles

Stroud was in control of its game at Hennessey at halftime.The Tigers took a stranglehold in the second half.Third-ranked Stroud stayed unbeaten last Friday as it handed the Eagles a 42-0 loss on their home field.

Cashion streaks past Comets to secure playoff bid

A dominant second half has secured Cashion’s playoff spot.The Wildcats outscored Hinton 28-3 over the final two quarters to garner a 34-13 “Senior Night” home victory.Cashion is now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in District A-I-1 and visits Fairview in the final week of the regular season.
