Kingfisher’s Myles Harrison (pictured) shot a 2-over-par 72 Thursday at the Lake Hefner Golf Club’s south course. The round tied him for fifth out of 109 golfers in the small-school division of the Bluejay Bash.

KHS girls to open Class 3A soccer playoffs at Crossings

Official brackets have been released for the Class 3A soccer playoffs.Kingfisher High School’s girls will travel to Oklahoma City Tuesday to take on Crossings Christian School in the first round.The matchup will start at 6 p.m. on the CCS campus.

William Shaver had a solid two days for the Kingfisher High School tennis team. Shaver (far right, bottom pic) placed third Wednesday in the No. 1 singles bracket of the Elk City Tournament which was held at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center. The KHS junior did even better on Thursday.

The Page family is synonymous with basketball success in Oklahoma.David Page coached six teams to state championships at Yale and Pawnee.He won 770 career games, which currently ranks him fifth all-time among boys coaches in Oklahoma.

County teams and individuals advance in boys golf qualifiers

Class 2A and 3A boys regional qualifiers were held throughout the state Monday.Two Kingfisher County teams and four other individuals scored well enough to advance to next week’s regional round.In Class 2A, the Okarche boys shot a 374 at Blackwell Golf Course to place fourth in their qualifier.
