Daniel Coughlan, right, took second place last Saturday in the Knights of Columbus State Hoop Shoot competition. A fifth grader at Kingfisher Upper Elementary School, Coughlan made 20 out of 25 shots at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guthrie.

Kingfisher High School held its first-ever soccer homecoming ceremonies last Friday just before the Lady Jackets and Jackets swept Alva in District 3A-2 contests. Prior to the girls’ game, seniors Diego Muñoz (1) and Jackie Rivera were announced as the homecoming king and queen.

Lady Jackets dominate home meet with 192 points

Kingfisher girls were the runaway winners Tuesday in their own meet.The Lady Jackets scored 192 points to easily top a field of nine other teams at the Kingfi sher High School Invitational.Scout Snodgrass once again claimed four gold medals -three of them in relays.
