Summer fires back to reclaim July headlines

Among the continually expanding list of offerings by Chisholm Trail Technology Center is Class A CDL training. CTTC offers its training at a site just north of Watonga. Most recently, 11 employees of Wheeler Brothers took the course.

‘We’re here, just in a new location’

The OSU Extension Office in Kingfisher County finally has a permanent home.The extension staff is operating out of its new office at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds in Kingfisher.

Back to school this week for 3 districts and CTTC

The summer break ends this week for a large portion of Kingfisher County students.Classes for the 2025-26 school year begin Thursday, Aug. 7, for students at Kingfisher, Dover, Lomega and Chisholm Trail Technology Center.Okarche, Cashion and Hennessey schools begin classes Thursday, Aug. 14.

• LOCAL BLOOD DRIVE: Our Blood Institute is holding a blood drive Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Cimarron Electric Cooperative north of Kingfi sher. The drive will be held in the Bloodmobile from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
