Among the continually expanding list of offerings by Chisholm Trail Technology Center is Class A CDL training. CTTC offers its training at a site just north of Watonga. Most recently, 11 employees of Wheeler Brothers took the course.

Ralph Harrison was honored for 50 years of legal service at last week’s meeting of the Kingfisher County Bar Association.

The OSU Extension Office in Kingfisher County finally has a permanent home.The extension staff is operating out of its new office at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds in Kingfisher.

One local government body has moved its August meeting date while another won’t be able to meet at all.Kingfisher Board of Education generally meets the first Monday of each month, which is Aug. 4 for this month.However, the district posted a notice stating the meeting will now be held Monday, Aug.

The summer break ends this week for a large portion of Kingfisher County students.Classes for the 2025-26 school year begin Thursday, Aug. 7, for students at Kingfisher, Dover, Lomega and Chisholm Trail Technology Center.Okarche, Cashion and Hennessey schools begin classes Thursday, Aug. 14.
