Page repeats as Elks Hoop Shoot national runner-up

For the second straight year, Pressley Page had to make room for a very large trophy on her way home from Chicago.The Kingfisher fourth grader was the runner-up in the 10-11 year-old girls division at the Elks National Hoop Shoot competition last weekend.

County commissioners consider 16 water line bids

Kingfisher County commissioners opened 16 bids on a water line replacement for Kingfisher Rural Water District No. 3, then tabled action to allow a committee of district members who attended the meeting to study them.The winning bid will be announced at next Monday’s meeting.
