Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lauren Stroh issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: February 20: John Michael Vanlandingham, 29, and Gracie Erin Petty, 26, both of Cashion. February 24: Daniel Ray Greenhaw, Jr., 27, and Amanda Sue Cape, 28, both of Oklahoma City.

Lomega High School senior Saidee Wright has completed a week of service as a page for Sen. Darcy Jech, R-Kingfisher. Wright served at the Capitol during the sixth week of the legislative session from March 9-12.

Hennessey’s Board of Trustees will have a “planning meeting” to discuss the future needs of the community next week. The meeting is slated for 9 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Town Hall. This is a date change for the special meeting that was originally scheduled this Thursday.

Kingfisher County Commissioners approved a seven-day burn ban for the county Monday as drought conditions continued to plague the county. The ban was requested by a majority of the county’s fire chiefs.
