Cashion, Hennessey will open season Friday night on Wildcats’ new field

Cashion will play its football season opener on its new field this Friday night.

The Wildcats kick off their 2025 campaign when they host Hennessey in a Week 0 matchup.

The game will be played on Cashion’s new turf field, which is located across State Highway 74F from the current field and the rest of the high school campus.

The new field and home stands have been under construction most of the summer.

The addition to the Cashion High School will be constructed on the site of the current Maxon Field.

All of that is part of a bond issue passed earlier this year by Cashion voters.

The completion date of the current field was up in the air, but the school announced this week that the field will be ready to go for the opener.
