After nearly three weeks without a game, Okarche came back Tuesday to down visiting Tonkawa 55-30.

The Lady Warriors last played Dec. 19 when they edged Seiling with the winning bucket coming with just seconds remaining.

No heroics were needed against the Lady Bucs as Okarche outscored them by at least 5 points in every quarter.

Tonkawa struggled with Okarche’s pressure as 23 turnovers led to 19 Lady Warriors’ points.

After the first quarter one that saw Okarche lead 18-11 - the Lady Warriors didn’t allow Tonkawa to score more than 8 points in another.

Okarche’s lead grew from 7 after a quarter to 31-19 by half.

The team’s scoring was spread out as Logan White led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Katie Parham added 13 points to go with her 8 assists.

Callie Cramer added 12 points as did Reese Robinson, who got hers by shooting 4 of 8 from 3-point range.

That win improved Okarche to 9-2.

Back to their winning ways...

Okarche returned to “pick on” someone its own size and got back to its winning ways.

The Warriors got double- doubles from two players Tuesday in a 99-46 victory at home against Tonkawa.

The win ended a threegame losing skid, all at the previous week’s Tournament of Champions in which Class A’s top-ranked team lost to one 5A and a pair of 6A schools.

Tonkawa didn’t provide the same firepower as those foes and steadily wilted beneath Okarche’s relentless attack.

The Bucs turned it over 32 times, which led to 47 Warrior points.

Okarche was up 29-16 after a quarter and 59-30 by the half.

Jett Mueggenborg was fresh off a 49-point game in the TOC finale and followed it up against Tonkawa with 37 points, 12 boards and 8 assists.

He was 15 of 23 from the field, including 4 of 9 from 3-point range.

Easton Roby added another 21 points and 13 rebounds.

The Warriors also got double figures from Colin Hendrickson and Ethan Kirby as they scored 11 apiece.

Okarche moved to 11-3 with the victory.
