Thomas ‘Tom’ Holder

A Celebration of Life service for Thomas Ivan Holder, 82, of Hennessey, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the Turkey Creek Golf Course in Hennessey. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. Tom was born Jan. 28, 1944, to Ivan and Barbara Holder.

He graduated from Garber High School in 1962.

He passed away April 13, 2026.

Tom entered the U.S. Army in the 291st Regiment and was a drill sergeant until 1969 when he was honorably discharged.

Tom was the oldest of three children. His sister Patricia Moery and her husband Mickey reside in Eufaula and his brother Tim Holder lives in Hennessey.

Their childhood was full of love and memories that Tom learned to pass onto his family when he started his life with Rebecca (Becky) Semrad.

Tom and Becky were married Sept. 26, 1964.

Their love story was one of a kind. They lived life to the fullest and truly honored their marriage vows for 62 years.

They have three children: Randy Holder and his late wife Joyce Holder, Deborah Roden and her late husband Kevin Roden and Angie Snodgrass and her husband Mark.

Tom was the best Papaw to his 10 grandkids and two great-grandkids. Keeping up with their life events brought him the most joy.

Tom was the best friend to many over the years; his daily phone calls will be missed by all.

We all will remember his honorary spirit, his work ethic and his unconditional love.
