Vera Kathryn Jones McIntyre passed away the afternoon of Aug. 2, 2020. She was born in Covington on Jan. 15, 1924, to John Leslie Jones Sr. and Pearl (Crews) Jones. The family quickly moved to Merrick in Lincoln County, where Kathryn spent her childhood.

Michael “Moe” Moore, 71, died July 28, 2020, in Garber. He was born in Kingfisher and graduated from Hennessey High School. Services were scheduled for10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel in Enid with Rev. Mark Hein officiating. A full obituary will appear in Wednesday’s edition.

Thomas Clifford Somers was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Oklahoma City. He passed on July 24, 2020, in Oklahoma City at the age of 66. Thomas was a longtime resident of Kingfisher. He was a truck driver most of his life and retired from MMS Construction.

Dennis Charles Kale Sr., 77, passed away July 11, 2020, at his home in Wichita, Kan., surrounded by his family. Dennis was born July 23, 1942, to Charles and Helen (Price) Kale. He and his sister, Dianna (Tharp) Kale were raised in Kingfisher where Dennis graduated from Kingfisher High School.

Lahonda Bond-Scism, 57, passed away July 13, 2020. Services are pending with Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service-Kingfisher.

The funeral for Gordon “Don” Bolen George, 90, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday July 23, at First Christian Church of Hennessey officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Don was born in Ada on Dec.

Robert “Bruce” Love, 86, of Tecumseh, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1934, near Victory in Jackson County, the fifth of seven children to William “W.C.” Cornelius and Sarah “Inez” (Austin) Love.

Melvin Paul Branson was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Mulhall to Luther and Winnifred (McCracken) Branson. He passed away July 9, 2020, at his home in Kingfisher at the age of 83. Melvin married Bernita Eva Moore on Aug. 27, 1958, in Redwood Fall, Minn. They established their first home in El Reno.

Lzena L. McElvany was born to John N. Warren and Mary Jane Fleshman-Warren on Dec. 9, 1935, near Loyal. She went home to Jesus on July 9, 2020, at the age of 84 after a long battle with cancer. The funeral for Lzena was 10 a.m.

Wanda Claunch was born on a farm in Marshall on Sept. 7 1937, to Charles “Chod” and Vivian Larsen Kelly. She passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Cimarron Nursing Center. She was 82. Wanda was raised in Dover where she graduated high school.
