Clay “Bubba” Bedell was born April 5, 1955, to John Edward and Zola Bedell in Andrews, Texas.He passed away Saturday, July 20, at his home in Yukon.The family moved to Bristow when he was 2 years old, then to Chandler, where he lived from second grade through freshman year.

Lloyd Ray Buckner was born Dec. 8, 1938, to John and Francis (Hawkins) Buckner and passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 85 with his family surrounding him.Pete, as everyone called him, was born at his childhood home on the Cimarron River between Dover and Loyal.

Clifton Wayne Verhines, affectionately known as Cliff or Sonny, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 94 in Kingfisher.A celebration of life was Wednesday, July 31, at Kingfisher First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jennifer Long offi ciating.

Ruth Ann (Ellison) Sargent, 84, of Kingfisher, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2024.Ruth was born on Aug. 23, 1939, in Topeka, Kan., to Firman and Florance (Roberts) Ellison. The family moved to Waco, Neb., when she was young.

Richard Leon Leffingwell, age 83, passed away July 12, 2024, in Kingfisher.He was born June 5, 1941, in Ponca City to Vernon and Roberta Leffingwell.Richard grew up alongside his siblings LaRue, Patty, Bill, Lynn and Verna Lea. He graduated from Lakin High School in Lakin, Kan.

Barry Dean Haynie was born Sept. 19, 1957, in Altus to Ronald and Sue (Parks) Haynie. He died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on July 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Elma Jean Best passed away quietly on Saturday, July 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family members.Elma Jean was born in Okeene on Dec. 17, 1938, to L. Warren and Mary Murray.She attended and graduated from Putman City Schools.She married the love of her life, Keith Best, on Jan.

Colby Ryan Endres was born Sept. 5, 1986, in Kingfi sher to Matthew and Susan Endres. He passed away July 13, 2024, in Kingfisher at the age of 37.Colby was raised in Kingfi sher and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 2005.

Arthur Joseph Meyer went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2024, at the age of 87.He was born on Oct. 27, 1936, to Edward and Margaret Meyer.He grew up in Okarche, where he graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1955. He served in the National Guard for three years.

The funeral for Donald Ray Cosper, 88, was Monday, June 24, at Hennessey First United Methodist Church.Services were officiated by Rev. Sandy Shepherd. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
