William Arthur “Bill” Scott passed away June 3, 2024, in Oklahoma City.He was born May 4, 1940, in Kingfisher to Andy and Marie Scott. He graduated Kingfisher High School in the class of 1958. Bill spent three years in the U.S. Army and 20 years in the U.S.

Jack L. Foster, 91, passed away on July 2, 2024, in Lakewood, Colo.Born on May 28, 1933, in Kingfisher, he is survived by his wife Darlene Foster; his daughters Judy Ann Prescott of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jill Lynn Maguire of Austin, Texas; and grandsons Hayden Prescott and Max Maguire.

Wanda Lou Colton was born Feb. 9, 1935, to Edwin Cheever Colton and Amanda Lucille Curtis Colton at the Colton family farm between Dover and Loyal.Her mother relayed it was a difficult delivery and there were two doctors from Dover and one from Kingfi sher to deliver her.

Jean Irene (Ray) Stribel passed away July 2, 2024, at the age of 83.Jean was born Oct. 22, 1940, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Richard and Myrtle Ray. She was the third daughter in a family of eight girls and her adored baby brother, Tom.The Ray family made the move to Backus Minn.

Roy Bollenbach was born April 18, 1939, to Glen and Myrtle Bollenbach of Kingfi sher.He passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Kingfi sher at the age of 85.Roy graduated in 1956 from Big Four High School and then attended the University of Central Oklahoma.He married Carol Rother on May 6, 1961.

Jane Buckman Hightower was born June 1, 1932, to Otis and Frances Buckman.She passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 92.Jane spent her early years on the family dairy farm in Shelbina, Mo.In 1953, Jane married Parker Hightower and moved to Kingfisher, where the true adventure began.

Marcella Pauline Whorley, 96, of Crescent, died June 29, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1927, in Kingfisher to August F. Emmerich and Rose M. (Biller) Emmerich.Marcella married Melvin E. Whorley on Sept. 5, 1946, at St. Francis Xavier in Enid.

Marilyn Elizabeth Stangl of Okarche peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 29, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Marilyn was born Aug. 19, 1932, in Kingfisher. She was the daughter of Joe and Teresa (Schaefer) Mueggenborg of Kingfisher.

Carol Anne (Hendrix) Murray passed away on June 25, 2024, in Kingfisher.Carol was born Sept. 26, 1950, in Fort Ord, Calif. Carol’s early years were marked by her pursuit of education and professional growth.
