A memorial service for Clarence Michael Stevens, 51, Hennessey, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Kentucky Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.It will be officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Steve Souter passed away June 11, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nev.Steve was born April 7, 1955, in Larnerd, Kan., to Ezekiel George (Zeke) Souter and Cleo Ruth (Sue) Souter Miller. He attended Kingfisher High School and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1978.

The funeral for Glenda Marie Mitchell, 82, was Friday, Sept. 22, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Edward Menasco. Cremation followed.Arrangements were by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Bernice Kauper Cross was born Nov. 14, 1937, to Ferdinand and Thecla (Buettner) Kauper in Oklahoma City. She passed away early Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.Bernice was raised on the family farm east of Kingfisher on Highway 33.

Jimmie Ray “Jerry” Barton, 81, of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully Sept. 15, 2023, at his home and surrounded by his family.He was born July 12, 1942, in Marlow and was the son of the late Nathan Monroe and Lillian Daisy Barton.Jerry was the founder and owner of Kingfisher Construction Services.

Mass of Christian Burial for Larry Hladik, 76, was Friday, Sept. 15, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hennessey officiated by Rev. Edward Menasco.Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Melvina Faye Christy, a lifelong resident of Kingfi sher, passed away at her home on Sept. 12, 2023 at the age of 84.She was born Feb. 27, 1939, to Theodore “Ted” Christy and Eleanor (Forbes) Christy in Kingfisher.Melvina graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1959.

Charlene Suzanna Buettner, 66, of Kingfisher, passed away Sept. 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Charlene was born July 6, 1957, to Otto and Pauline Buettner in Okarche.She was raised in Kingfi sher and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1975.

Loving husband, father, grandfather, Papa and friend, Bradford Ray Dalrymple of Kingfisher, left his worldly home on Sept. 13, 2023, in Kingfisher.Brad was born in Modesto, Calif., in 1958 to Raymond and Helen (Eakins) Dalrymple of Modesto. He was the middle child of five boys.
