The Cashion girls placed sixth and Kingfisher seventh at last Friday’s Skordle Relays track and field meet in Cashion.

The meet featured 25 schools as Stroud’s 63 points won the team title, edging Oklahoma Christian School and Elk City, both of which finished with 62.

Cashion managed 45 total points and KHS had 42. Neither team competed in the final event of the day, the 1,600 meter relay.

Cashion’s Khloe Kastner won gold over Stroud’s Peyton Davis in the 200 meter run.

Davis won gold in the event at last year’s Class 2A state meet as Kastner was second. Davis had also beaten Kastner earlier this year.

Kastner ran down Davis over the final 100 meters to garner revenge.

The sophomore was also second in the long jump and part of the 800 relay team that was second and 400 relay team that placed fourth.

She was joined by Kate Nabavi, Emerie Eubanks and Reese Hobgood on those relays.

Kingfisher’s 3,200 meter relay team won gold and set a season-best time in the process.

Harper Evans, Mattie Slezickey, Ryann Farrar and Scout Snodgrass won the race in 9:53.29, which set a new Skordle Relays meet record.

Snodgrass was also second in the 400 and sixth in the 200 while Abbie Myers placed third in the 300 hurdles.

The Lady Jackets’ Ela Hartman also claimed bronze in the high jump.

Julianne Matousek claimed a bronze for Hennessey. She was third in the 3,200 meter run, which accounted for all six of the team’s points.

The Dover Longhorns girls track team placed 16th.

Kylee Bell was the lone member, accounted for all 12 points and outscored 10 other full teams at the meet.

Bell beat her own meet record by winning the pole vault and clearing 11 feet.

She was also fifth in the high jump.
