Lady Jackets 4th at conference meet
Scout Snodgrass was a two-time conference champ and nearly a third in Tuesday’s Western Athletic Conference Track and Field Meet at Weatherford.
The KHS senior won the 800 meter run and anchored the winning 3,200 meter relay team at the event.
She was also a part of the runner-up 1,600 meter relay team. When Snodgrass got the baton on the anchor leg, the Lady Jackets were in fourth place and she ran down all but one of the competitors in front of her.
All told, KHS scored 108 points as a team, which placed it fourth.
Tuttle was the conference champ with 152.5.
Not much separated the next three.
Bethany was the runner- up with 113 and Weatherford was third with 112.
Joining Snodgrass on the two-mile relay were Ryann Farrar, Harper Evans and Mattie Slezickey.
Farrar, Slezickey and Abbie Myers were a part of the runner-up mile relay team.
Kingfisher’s two other relay teams placed fourth.
Myers, Reese Roof, Taitym Walker and Adlee Friesen were on the 400 relay team.
Members of the 800 relay were Walker, Roof, Maya Haney and Myers.
Evans was the conference runner-up in the twomile run.
Myers placed third and Roof sixth in the 300 hurdles.
Farrar was fifth in the 800 and Lily Lunsford fifth in the mile.
Ela Hartman was the runner-up in the high jump and also placed fourth in the long jump while Rylee Long-Bush placed sixth in the pole vault.
