Senior Luciano Orozco fired a 1-over-par 71 on Wednesday to win the individual championship of the Marlow High School Boys Invitational golf tournament.

Orozco’s round featured four bogeys and three birdies and he played the backnine in 1-under par.

He defeated Marlow’s Ethan Travis and Duncan’s Matthew Ramshaw and Kai Vang by one stroke.

Orozco led KHS to a third-place finish in the tournament, which featured 15 teams.

The Jackets shot a 315. Marlow won the title with a 308 and Duncan was second with a 310.

Cale Reagan shot a 79, which tied him for 15th.

Hayes White’s 80 tied him for 17th while Hagen Owens shot an 85 and River Roof an 89.

The Jackets were back in action Thursday at the Bluejay Bash at Lake Hefner North.

They shot a 332, which placed them ninth in the field.

Reagan led the team with an 8-over-par 80.

Orozco shot an 81, Roof an 84, White an 87 and Hagen Owens a 93.

KHS will host a 36-hole Class 3A regional this Monday.
