Kingfisher notched 114 points Tuesday to claim the girls team championship at the 2026 Dennis Seifried Weatherford High School Invitational track and field meet.

They also saw two school records go down in the process.

The team championship was Kingfisher’s first of the season and it came at a meet named after Weatherford’s pioneering track coach who is the father of KHS head coach Stefan Seifried.

The Lady Jackets placed in all four relays, including winning the 3,200 relay with Harper Evans, Mattie Slezickey, Ryann Farrar and Scout Snodgrass.

Kingfisher then clinched the championship in the final race of the day, the 1,600 relay.

Snodgrass, Slezickey, Abbie Myers and Farrar placed second in the event, but their time of 4:03.32 beat the former school record of 4:04.41 set in 2024 by…. Snodgrass, Slezickey, Myers and Kinley Taylor.

It was the second school record of the day for Snodgrass.

She placed third in the 200 meter dash, an event she rarely runs.

Her time of 26.06 seconds narrowly eclipsed the mark of 26.3 set in 2004 by Brittania (Long) Schroeder.

Ironically, Snodgrass’ two new school records came in the two events in which she didn’t claim gold.

The senior also won the 400 meter dash.

Myers medaled in three of her events and placed in all four.

She was the runner-up in the 300 hurdles and was also on the second-place 800 relay along with Taitym Walker, Maya Haney and Reese Roof.

The 400 relay team of Myers, Roof, Walker and Adlee Friesen placed fifth.

Farrar finished just two spots behind Snodgrass in the 400, Evans was third in the mile and Roof took fourth in the 300 hurdles.

Snodgrass wasn’t the only KHS athlete to claim individual gold.

Ela Hartman soared 17 feet, 4 inches to win the long jump and the sophomore was the runner-up in the high jump.

Tuttle was the meet runner-up with 86 points and Bethany was third with 79 while Weatherford took fourth with 75.

Twenty different teams scored points at the meet.

Snodgrass now has four track records at KHS.

Along with the two she set Tuesday, she is also a part of record-holding 3,200 meter relay team and holds the 800 record. Both of those were set at last year’s state track meet.

Her 800 record also broke that held by Schroeder in 2004.
