Track athletes nab All-State, All-Star status
Several Kingfisher County athletes earned All-State and All-Star status due to their performances at their state track and field meets.
The Oklahoma Cross Country and Track Coaches Association released the list of honorees last week.
To earn Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State status, an athlete has to win his or her respective event at state.
OCA All-Star status is reserved for athletes who placed second or third in their state event(s) at state.
The final tier is OCCTCA All-Star, which is for seniors only. The top finishing senior who placed fourththrough- eighth in their event earn this status.
The biggest honoree in the county was Cashion’s Khloe Kastner.
The sophomore won gold in four different events at the Class 2A meet, earning her All-State in each event.
