Three games in and Okarche still hasn’t allowed a run in these playoffs.

The Warriors will take that streak into the state tournament after they swept through their Class A-I regional.

The finisher was a 6-0 victory against Thomas in Thursday’s regional championship game.

On Wednesday, Okarche opened with a 20-0 run rule win over Afton and then earned a spot in the championship by blanking Thomas 7-0.

The Warriors, ranked No. 1 in the class, are in the spring state tournament for the third straight year and for the sixth consecutive season overall when including fall baseball.

Easton Roby did a bulk of the work on the mound in the championship.

He threw six shutout innings and surrendered just three hits while striking out 10.

Ethan Kirby pitched the final frame.

Luke Hill provided the only necessary run when he led off the game with a single and eventually scored on an error.

The Warriors got backto- back RBI groundouts in the third before Jett Mueggenborg’s single brought home another run to make it 4-0.

Brett Carnott and Jake Henderson provided extra RBIs in the game.

Hill scored three of Okarche’s runs as he was 1 for 2 in the game.

Henderson had 2 RBIs.

Cy Collamore needed just 68 pitches to blank the Terriers in Wednesday night’s win.

Collamore surrendered just three hits and struck out six.

However, he boasted just a 1-0 lead until the fifth inning when the Warriors erupted for six runs.

The first three came on a home run to deep right field by Roby.

The Warriors followed his lead.

Henderson delivered an RBI triple and Colin Hendrickson’s RBI sac fly made it 6-0.

Mueggenborg and Kirby followed with singles and a third straight hit - this one by Sam Kroener - scored another run.

Roby, Mueggenborg and Kroener each had two hits.

The Warriors pounded out 13 hits and only gave up one in the victory over Afton.

Hill was 2 for 3 with 5 RBIs and scored twice.

Carnott, Kirby and Colin Hendrickson were also 2 for 3 and each drove in 3 runs.

Hill, Carnott and Grady Terrell combined to throw the five innings and recorded a total of 10 strikeouts without a walk.

Okarche enters state with a 20-5 record.

The Warriors lost three straight games to 4A’s Weatherford, 2A-I No. Cashion and 2A-I No. 1 Dale, but have since won five straight games without surrendering a run.
