Pugh named to OGBCA Hall of Fame

Former Cashion coach Totsy Pugh is among the group announced as the 2026 class of the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.The announcement was made last week when the OGBCA also released its 2026 All-State selections.

Lady Jackets are Loomis consolation champs

Kingfisher bounced back from a quarterfinal loss to claim two straight wins for the girls consolation championship at the Jim Loomis Invitational soccer tournament on Saturday.It culminated Saturday with a 6-1 win over Weatherford JV in the fifth-place game.

Jackets pick up all-WAC honors

Three Kingfisher High School players were named all-conference and two more earned honorable mention last week as the Western Athletic Conference revealed its boys basketball selections.Voted by coaches to the first team was Hayes White.

Girls golfers win season’s 1st outing

KHS outlasts BC to start district sweep

A district sweep to start the week saw the Kingfisher High School baseball team surpass last year’s win total.The Jackets downed Bridge Creek 18-17 in a wild 4A-4 matchup on the road Monday and then came back home Tuesday to grab a bit more conventional 9-6 victory.

Lady Jackets take 2nd at Fairview

Kingfisher County - especially on the girls side - had a strong showing Tuesday at the Fairview Track and Field Meet.The Kingfisher High School girls placed second overall while Lomega was fifth and Hennessey sixth out of more than two dozen teams that took part.

Warriors pick up 3 wins on GSA trip

Okarche’s baseball team traveled nearly 900 miles one way to take part in the Gulf Shores Classic over Spring Break.Ironically, the Warriors’ lone loss in the Alabama- based event came to a team 57 miles from home.

Yellowjackets split pair of games in Edmond festival

Cooper Henley and Brett Calamateo combined to give up just one run last Thursday as Kingfisher went 1-1 in the Edmond Spring Break Festival.The KHS duo did their work in an 8-1 victory over Putnam City North.The Jackets were also downed 8-1 later that day by Mustang.
