Carol Ann Mueggenborg went to see our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. Carol was born on March 13, 1944, in Kingfisher to Walter and Billie (McCully) Bullard. She attended school in Kingfisher and started a family with George R. Heupel on March 24,1961, in Okarche.

Katherine ‘Kathy’ Moore

Katherine (Kathy) A. Moore passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at the age of 77. Katherine grew up living on her family farm with her mother, father and brother. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School and attended a business school in Tulsa.

Melva Wood

Melva May Marlow Wood passed away at the age of 93 on Dec. 29, 2020. She was born on May 1, 1927, in Cashion to Herschel and Hazel Marlow. Melva’s role as a mother and Christian were very important to her.

A total of 10 additional COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in the four counties immediately surrounding Kingfisher in the first week of the year, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health online data.

The Kingfisher County Health Department is seeking qualified nurse volunteers to help administer COVID-19 vaccines at an event to be scheduled.

Let It Snow

Kingfisher County was soaking wet after last week’s snow. The snows that fell Thursday registered between five inches and six inches in depth and melted where it fell thanks to calm weather. Lakes of water developed on wheat fields as the snow melted under sunny skies.

KPS follows governor’s lead for COVID19 sport protocols

Updated protocols for indoor sporting events werereviewed andtweaked Monday by Kingfisher’s board of education. They include requiring all spectators to wear masks or face coverings at Kingfisher Public Schools indoor events and also limits the amount of fans who can attend.
