Read moreI read with shame and disbelief the article by Ray Carter, “OU’s Lobbying pays off for school but not student rights” (12/8/2021, page 4). I immediately sent an email to Darcy Jech, our state Senator, telling him that the senate needs to revisit SB 361 this year and put the teeth back into the law. OU has made it obvious that, without penalty, they have no intention of following the law. Sounds like some others we know, like in Portland, OR, Chicago, IL or NYC, NY among others. Now those are certainly groups we want to follow (or maybe not).
