United to close its Kingfisher location

A Kingfisher staple for grocery shoppers for nearly 50 years is closing its doors next month.UnitedSupermarketsannounced via social media on Monday that its Kingfisher store is closing Aug. 16.The grocery store chain had informed the owners of the building at which it’s located - 1215 S. Main St.

New roof needed at Lacy School

The Lacy School cafeteria has been used as the Lacy Community Center for many years and the roof has been patched several times.Now the roof must be replaced and the center doesn’t have that much money.That’s why those in charge of the center are asking for help.
