One of the more anticipated early-season showdowns last Friday turned into a Week 0 blowout. Cashion traveled to Owasso to battle Rejoice Christian in a matchup of teams that went a combined 26-2 in 2019.

Maybe it was his sizzling speed. Maybe it was his ability to scorch the opponent time and again. Or maybe it was just the blazing-hot turf on Ranger Field.

Hennessey’s defense gave the team a chance to win, a stark contrast from a year ago. The offense, however, is still being molded. That helped allow Crescent to sneak out of Hennessey with a 13-7 victory last Friday in the season opener for both teams.

Despite it being the first meet of the season, the Kingfisher girls cross country team sent a strong message. It’s a group with which to be reckoned in 2020.

I can empathize with Joe Biden’s situation – somewhat. When he was born in November of 1942, I had been aggravating my parents for six years already.

Check out any professional and most college basketball teams. Their starting five, and most of their other 10 players, are black, as is 80% of the NBA. This does not come anywhere close to the diversity and inclusion sought by the nation’s social justice warriors.

This year the Oklahoma Legislature approved, and the governor signed into law, legislation requiring that absentee votes cast during a pandemic include a copy of the voter’s photo ID, and reinstated a requirement for notarization of absentee voting in future elections.
