The funeral for Barbara Platt, 93, was Saturday June 28, at Hennessey First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Sandra Shepherd. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home.

I read Tony Stewart’s letter to the editor. The Kingfisher board wants to cut the bond money for the new fire station.Absolutely no, I couldn’t vote for it. Being a retired firefighter, I fully supported it. That’s money to be used for future expansion of the fire station.

Another year comes to a close for Cashion FFA

The Cashion FFA Chapter hosted its annual banquet May 13 to celebrate another busy and rewarding year. Starting with dinner in the school cafeteria at 6 p.m., FFA members helped serve guests brisket, mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw and apple cobbler for dessert.The banquet began at 7 p.m.
