After spending almost $5 for a piece of pie at Katy’s Pantry to compensate for using their bathroom, I drove to the grocery store where I bought a $6 chicken. An entire chicken. That was after I saw it cost more than double that for a whole cut-up chicken.

Disliked headline on fatality accident story Christine, I am writing to express my displeasure of the headline in the October 6, 2019 paper, “Oilfield truck involved in quadruple fatality”. Though I cannot argue with the accuracy (it was involved), I do take issue with the presentation.

Thelma Roberts

Thelma Sue Roberts, 82, of Kingfisher, formerly of Blanchard, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, in Kingfisher. The daughter of Charley Joshua King and Ludy Lou (James) King, she was born March 5, 1937, in Fletcher.
