Wittrock property now Centennial Farm

Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer Lynda Ozan announced that an Oklahoma Centennial Farm Award has been presented to the owner of a Kingfisher County farm.The estate of the late JoAnne Erwin Wittrock owns the Wittrock Farm located in the vicinity of Okarche.

BAND CAMP

- Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s 31st annual Middle School Band Camp attracted nearly 300 students. The camp for students who have completed grades 5-7 was held June 23-26 on the Weatherford campus.

Teachers attend FIRST Lego League training

Twenty teams from Western Oklahoma will put their brick building and robotics skills to the test, up from 12 last year. The teams will represent a dozen schools in the FIRST Lego League  (ages 9-14) and FIRST Lego League Jr.

Soudek on BU honor roll

More than 4,100 Baylor University students have been named to the Dean’s Academic Honor List for the spring 2019 semester.Among them was Katie Soudek of Kingfisher, a major in the college of arts and sciences.
