Defense carries Dover to 2 district titles

Nothing came easy for Dover on Saturday night.But it did come with a district championship.The Lady Longhorns managed to grind out a 30-27 victory at home over Strother to claim a Class B district crown.The victory advanced Dover to the winner’s bracket of this week’s regional.

Cashion sinks Stroud in 2A district victories

Cashion got off to a quick start and never looked back in its district title game.The Lady Wildcats remained in the Class 2A winner’s bracket with last Saturday’s 61-24 win over Stroud.They head to Stroud for this week’s regional tournament. They’ll take on a somewhat familiar foe at 6 p.m.

Double duty: Lomega teams win twice at district

With the district championship behind them, the Lomega Raiders get their shot at No. 1…for the third time this season.Lomega closed out its Class B district Saturday night with a 78-56 victory at home over Cimarron.It keeps the Raiders in the winner’s bracket heading into this week’s regional.

Eagles sweep Chisholm Monday

Hennessey is riding a three-game win streak into the playoffs after closing off its regular season with victories on Friday and Monday.The latter spoiled Chisholm’s “senior night” festivities as the Lady Eagles used a big third quarter to grab a 50-38 road win.

It was Logan White’s night.The Okarche freshman scored a career-high 21 points Saturday to lead the Lady Warriors to a 50-38 win at home against Cherokee in their Class A district championship game.
