Kingfisher will head to the playoffs with twice as many wins as it earned all of last season.The Jackets hit that mark last Friday when they wrapped up their regular season with their most lopsided victory against a varsity squad.They downed Elk City 69-31 to give themselves a 14-9 record.

Cashion lost both of its home basketball games last Tuesday night.Ironically, those wearing the Cashion maroon and gold were smiling, cheering and hugging at the result…the result of something much bigger than the games on the court.

Deatherage part of shakeup on OSBE

Governor Kevin Stitt’s shakeup of the Oklahoma State Board of Education resulted in a Kingfisher man being nominated to the board.Ryan Deatherage, the Kingfisher County Emergency Management and 911 director, was named by Stitt as one of three new nominees last Tuesday.
