BOCC slates interviews for KCEM director

A special meeting is set this week for Kingfisher County commissioners to interview candidates for the open position of director of county emergency management.The meeting is set for 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20.The interviews will be conducted in executive ses- sion, which are not open to the public.

Jeffrey Don Gill passed away on Nov. 12, 2025.He was born Jan. 9, 1978, in Watonga and graduated from Dover High School in 1996.Jeff was a man of many gifts, an all-around handyman with a remarkable ability to fix anything and a willingness to help anyone.

Filing is early next month for school board seats

Candidate filing for the board of education in local school districts begins Monday, Dec. 1.Seats will be up for grabs on school boards at Kingfi sher, Dover, Hennessey, Cashion, Lomega and Okarche public schools as well as Chisholm Trail Technology Center.
