Rayland Garner was able to represent Kingfisher one final time on a basketball court Wednesday night. The 2022 KHS graduate scored five points to help the Large West hold off the Large East 62-61 in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Games at Sapulpa High School. The game was originally set at Jenks, but a storm that rolled through Wednesday night knocked out power and forced the move slightly west to Sapulpa. The West led 32-25 at halftime and was up three points entering the fourth. The East took a one-point lead with 5:30 to play, but the West quickly took it back and held on. Garner was Kingfisher’s leading scorer as the Lady Jakets reached the Class 4A state tournament for the first time since 2009.
