KINGFISHER LIONS CLUB

KINGFISHER LIONS CLUB members were joined last Thursday by Oklahoma Northwest District Governor Sharyl Pickens. A member of the Perkins Lions Club, Pickens is currently in the midst of visiting all 39 clubs in her district. Pickens’ service project for the year is “No One Should Go Hungry.” As part of that, she plans to partner with Meals of Hope and, during the district meeting at Stillwater next February, package 10,000 meals. During the meeting, the Kingfisher Lions voted to donate $150 toward the project, which will help fund more than 330 of the meals. Release of Epstein files sets a horrible precedent

Former Harvard president Larry Summers has now lost virtually every professional association after a House committee released emails of his exchanges with child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. There are around 20,000 pages of them. Many of the correspondences are embarrassing. There’s going to be little, if any, sympathy for a well-known elite who’s angered conservatives and progressives and befriends creeps. And perhaps Summers doesn’t deserve any.
