WILDCATS INVADE BRICKTOWN BALLPARK

The Cashion High School Class of 2020 ensured it had ample space for social distancing when its graduation ceremony was held June 3 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The ballpark is home to the Oklahoma City Dodgers minor league baseball team. Above right, the graduates sit four seats apart on every other row. Above left and bottom left are Maci Pickle and Bryce Miller, respectively, during the ceremony. “We were happy the Dodger organization allowed us to use this beautiful facility. It was well-run and the staff treated all the Cashion visitors like royalty,” said Cashion Superintendent Sammy Jackson. Fireworks were planned for after the ceremony, but with some of the civil unrest taking place, those plans had to be nixed. “We hated the city canceled the fireworks after the ceremony, but understand that decision with the circumstances at that time,” Jackson said. “We feel blessed to have been able to allow our students a prom as well as a graduation. Thanks to everyone for their support through these trying times.” [Photos provided by Oklahoma City Dodgers]
