Luke Hill and Easton Roby played big roles in Okarche’s ability to advance in the Class A-I state baseball tournament. The Warriors downed No. 4 Ripley 6-1 on Thursday in the quarterfi nals at Oklahoma Christian University. Hill, pictured left pitching during the first inning, kept the “other” Warriors off-balance as he went all seven innings and scattered seven hits while striking out 10 batters. It was just the third loss of the season for Ripley. Roby, pictured being sent home by coach Ryan Beaman, scored one of three Okarche runs in the first inning. Hill also went 2 for 4 at the plate while Brett Carnott and Ethan Kirby combined to drive in three runs for Okarche, which is in the semifinals for the second straight spring. Okarche played No. 1 Wright City after press time of this edition. For game results, see our Facebook page. [KT&FP Staff Photos]
