Carolyn ‘Sue’ Musick

Carolyn Sue Musick, 76, was born Jan. 8, 1949, in Duke to Emma Evelyn Harper Dowdy and Albert Jack Dowdy.

Sue went to be with our Lord on May 25, 2025, after a long stay at Mercy Hospital.

Sue lost her mother at the age of 2. Her dad remarried (Louella) when she was 12.

She grew up in Elk City and graduated with the class of 1967. She attended college, but was anxious to get on with life so started her rewarding career.

Sue married the love of her life, Jack Musick, on Aug. 4, 1988.

They lived most of their married life here in Kingfi sher.

She had a very commendable career managing many retail stores as well as being a district manager over stores throughout many states.

She was preceded in death by both parents and her brother, Jack L. Dowdy.

Sue is survived by her wonderful husband, Jack; son, Jared Gabe Wingfield and wife Kelly; stepson, Daniel Musick and wife Camille; stepdaughter, Merideth Musick; stepson, Bill Musick and wife Rhonda.

Sue is also survived by her sister, Emma Ruth Jessing and husband Richard and by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Sue will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at First United Methodist Church in Kingfi sher with Rev. Dr. Jennifer Long presiding. Services are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
