Coats Randolph Briscoe, III, “Randy,” passed peacefully through the Gates of Heaven on April 25, 2024, with his family by his side.

Born to Coats Randolph and Reba Kay Briscoe, his journey began at Eglin Air Force Base on Nov. 4, 1964.

Throughout Randy’s young life, he traveled to many fun places not only in the United States, but abroad to Okinawa, Japan, where he attended school for six years. He also attended school in California and Florida and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1982.

Randy loved riding horses, bowling, fishing, country music, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers.

He also had a deep love for the game of basketball and even won the Elks Hoop Shoot state contest.

Following high school, Randy moved to Enid where he resided in a group home for eight years and made many new friends.

In 1998, Randy wanted to move closer to home and returned to Kingfisher to live with his family.

In 1999, Randy went to live at the Center of Family Love in Okarche, a home which he loved so much and where he flourished and thrived for 25 years.

Throughout his years residing in the Center of Family Love, Randy received unparalleled and tremendous love, encouragement and support from the residents and staff. Randy was a little bit ornery and fun-loving and it was hard not to want to spend fun times with him.

He worked many jobs learning great life skills while at the Center and will be missed by the friends and staff he leaves behind.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Reba Kay Briscoe; his sister, Nina M. Blair; his brother, Raymond George Briscoe; and his nephew, Lane Michael Blair.

He is survived by his father Randy Briscoe and wife Jamie Briscoe; his niece Lisa Black and her husband Zac and their children Sophia and Theodore; his nephew David Blair and his wife Olivia and children Eleanor and Elizabeth; his bonus family, Travis and Suzanne Brown and family, Chris and Shawnna Brown and family and Tyler and Jessica Morey and family.

A graveside service will be held at the Kingfisher Cemetery at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.

The family requests donations in Randy’s memory be made to the Center of Family Love, P.O. Box 245, Okarche, OK 73762.
