Harry Goodpasture

The funeral for Harry Leonard Goodpasture, 82, was Friday, Dec. 30, at Dover Christian Church officiated by Pastors Phil Wilson and Grant Curtis.

Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Leonard was born in Hennessey on Nov. 23, 1940, to John and Lucy Golda Wilson Goodpasture and died Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

Leonard owned and operated Leonard’s Barber Shop for many years in Hennessey prior to pursuing other business ventures.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; five daughters, Michele Cornelus, Melissa Kendrick, Angela Davidson and husband Shane, Jennifer Freeman and husband Mitch, Laura Evans and husband Nick; three sons, David McCurley, Bobby Goodpasture, Gerry Goodpasture; four sisters, Jean Randolph, Myrtle Kudlac and husband Henry, Doris Smarra and husband Tony, Helen Fuksa; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Carol Dean, two nephews, his twin brother who died in infancy and family friend Bob Oldham.
