Michael Henry White passed away on April 13, 2025, in Oklahoma City at the age of 77.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1947, in Lansing, Mich., to Michael Gerald White and Norma (Noden) Hurley.

Michael grew up in Lansing before moving to California, where he graduated from Santiago High School. He went on to earn his associate’s degree from Santa Ana Junior College.

His professional life was largely spent in the oil and gas industry, working as an operations manager for Phillips Petroleum until his retirement.

Later, he found great joy working as a bus driver and lunchroom monitor for Kingfisher Public Schools, a role he held close to his heart.

On Feb. 11, 1969, Michael married his high school sweetheart, Suzanne Carol Stahlman. From this union came their three children: Michelle, Michael and Ty.

Michael was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy, taking them to the zoo each summer became a beloved tradition.

He also had a special love for his dogs, who were always part of the family.

Michael is survived by his wife, Suzanne Carol White of the home; his children, Michelle J. McFarland and husband John of Kingfi sher, Michael C. G. White and wife Gillian of Omaha, Neb., and Ty R. White and wife Shannon of Naples, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Debbie and Carol.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Gerald White and Norma (Noden) Hurley; his brother, Charles “Chuck” White; and his inseparable sister, Kay Cox.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, at The Gathering, 305 N. Main St., Kingfisher.
