Patricia Farnsworth
Patricia (Mom, Mommy, Mama, Granny, Honey, etc.) went home to be with the Lord and her faith was made sight on May 30, 2025, in the intensive care unit of Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born June 20, 1949, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Kenneth H. and Ruth Ellen Willey.
The family moved around quite a bit when she was a child and she spent time in Harrington, Cherryfi eld, Patten and Ellsworth, Maine, and some time in Patterson, N.J.
She graduated from Ellsworth High School in the class of 1967. She spent a year at the University of Maine and then moved to Boston and worked for John Hancock Insurance Company.
She returned to Maine in 1970 where she lived in Cherryfield with her parents and attended the University of Maine at Machias for a year.
Patricia married Barry A. Farnsworth, of Cherryfield, on June 19, 1971. He had recently graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and had taken a commission in the U.S. Coast Guard.
They moved to Baltimore, his first duty station, to start life together. In 1975, they moved to Oklahoma City and in 2009 they moved to Kingfisher.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Ellen Morang and her great-granddaughter Hallie Brown.
She is survived by her children Rachael (Daniel) Merrit of Cherryfield, Maine; Joshua (Rachel) Farnsworth of Hennessey; Isaac (Christine) Farnsworth of Kingfisher; Melissa (Steve) Wolvin of Columbus, Ohio; and Nathan (Christy) Farnsworth of Derry, N.H.; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Pamela Willey of Kennebunk, Maine.
Patricia loved her home and her family and spent her life serving them and her church.
She and her husband had the privilege of being involved in the founding of the Victory Baptist Church in Kingfisher, where she served as a pastor’s wife for 32 years.
Services were held at Victory Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4.
She will then return to Maine for burial at the Joseph Small Cemetery in Cherryfield, to join two centuries of ancestors and await the resurrection.
Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.
Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.
