Randy Johnson passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Randy was born on Sept. 1, 1960, to Verdean and Elsie (Oppel) Johnson.

Randy was the youngest and the only boy following three older sisters.

Randy grew up on the farm and attended Big Four School until it closed its doors.

Randy then attended Cashion Schools and graduated in 1978.

Randy worked the family farm, worked for the City of Kingfisher and then Temtrol until he became disabled.

Randy met the love of his life, Lavon, and they wed on Aug. 4, 2001.

Randy and Lavon shared many precious memories together. They loved to travel to many different places, including Virginia when the grandson was born.

Randy loved to take the grandkids to all types of different museums, water parks and he was always telling stories about when he was a kid.

Randy loved to watch westerns and he even showed his granddaughters how to shoot a BB gun when they were young. You would even catch Randy outside shooting a target or checking out the family farm.

Randy loved to meet new people and he never met a stranger. The strangers would often get to hear his stories as well as neighbors and friends.

Randy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lavon, and their children, Chrissy, Jessica, Aaron (Amy) and John (Valerie); sister Sherrye (Kellye); brother-inlaw Charlie; sisters-in-laws Lynn and Nancy.

Randy’s adored grandchildren are Ashlynn, Ian, Roper, Beth, Laura and Leah and many other family members.

Randy was preceded in death by both of his parents and sisters Terrye and Candance.

Family will hold a memorial in his memory at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

The family requests donations to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Randy’s name.
