Stanley Bowden
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Douglas Bowden on Dec. 3, 2025, in Madera, Calif., at the age of 51.
Though he faced a difficult year of health challenges, his memory remains a light to those who knew him.
Born in Oklahoma City on June 3, 1974, Stanley attended schools in Kingfi sher and Guthrie before graduating from Madera High School.
He was a man of immense talent and a creative spirit.
A gifted musician and tenor, he played in the band throughout his school years and possessed a rare “ear” for music, able to play any tune by heart.
Beyond his musical and mechanical ingenuity, Stanley had a real way with words – a gift for communication that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Stanley is survived by his sons, Nathan Samuel Bowden and Stanley Douglas Bowden II; mother, Janice Shorter-Heck; father, Douglas Bowden; and siblings, Robert Reece, Andrea Rhoads and Dustin Bowden.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at 201 S. Fifth St. in Kingfisher to honor his life and spirit.
