6 Okarche cheerleaders named All-American at camp

Okarche High School and junior high cheer squads participated in cheer camp Aug. 2- 6 to prepare for the 2021-22 cheer season.
The camp was held at the Okarche High School gymnasium with UCA cheer instructor Karmeishie Bray and cheer coaches Kristie Harris and Jaci Geheb.
During camp, the teams worked on new routines, team stunts, cheers and chants.
The instructor gave them pointers to help them polish up their routines.
Team members attending UCA camp can try out for the honor of being named a UCA All-American.
When an athlete makes All-American, they are invited to perform at special events around the country.
Junior high squad members Shayne Howard and McKenna Sadler earned UCA All-American honors.
High school squad members Ella Reherman, Tori Spomer, Chloe Goble and Emily Neuenschwander also earned UCA All-American distinction.
