No increase on tap for local taxpayers

Citizens will be receiving their tax bills late, but will still have 30 days to pay without penalty and also will not see an increase this year.That’s because they won’t be on the hook for this year’s portion of a lawsuit settlement made last year by Kingfisher Public Schools.

COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE – Okarche FCCLA helped again this year to collect items for the Community Food Drive. The group sat out boxes in the elementary and high school. The class that brought the most food won a pizza party.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:October 21, 12:22 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.Dana Golbek, 69, Kingfi sher, driving a 2105 Ford EX2, was westbound in the inside lane of S.H. 33 at the intersection of U.S. 81.
