The local American Legion members will be celebrating an anniversary of the national organization at a meeting this week.Keith Lowry-Henry Ellyson Post No. 5 of the Oklahoma American Legion will hold a joint meeting with the Ladies Auxiliary No. 5 at 7 p.m.

Hennessey Board of Education members rehired 78 teachers and 50 support personnel for the 2024-25 school year.They took that action after about 40 minutes in executive session Monday, March 11, to discuss personnel during their noon meeting.
