Area FFA’ers compete in Greenhand state finals
Joleidy Flores of the Dover FFA chapter and Ronni Adams of the Crescent FFA chapter recently competed in the state finals of the Greenhand Quiz Leadership Development Event.The competition was held at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater on Oct. 19.

Grass fire reported near wind turbines at 670 Road-East of Dover Oct. 7, 2:51 p.m.Three smoke alarms going off at 600 N. Main St. (Sleep Inn & Suites Hotel) were reported to the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office by security company Oct. 9 at 11:26 a.m. Engines 1 and 2, and brush pumper dispatched.
Traffic accident
The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:October 15, 7:15 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive.A 17-year-old female, Okarche, driving a 2021 Ford Mustang, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 and stopped at the intersection of Starlite Drive.

County officials mourn death of assessor Carolyn Mulherin
Kingfisher County Assessor Carolyn Mulherin, 61, died Saturday afternoon from complications of COVID-19, leaving a void at the county courthouse, as well as within her family.
