Hennessey Police reports

May 26 — Officer Matthew Bruner was running radar at West Jack Choate Avenue and Cemetery Road facing east into town at 11:22 p.m. when he saw a pickup truck followed by a gray car both traveling at high rates of speed, according to his report.

TASC to handle O&G assessments

Kingfisher County commissioners retained Total Assessment Solutions Corp (TASC) Monday to assess oil and gas properties and services in the county. The contract, at an annual cost of $55,000, covers the period from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022.

The 2021 wheat harvest got under way in a serious way on Monday in Kingfisher County. Loads of wheat began arriving at elevators in Kingfisher and Okarche and a spokesman at CHS Elevator at Hennessey said heavier harvesting was expected to begin there on Tuesday.

Town board votes to raise Hennessey trash rates

Hennessey’s residential trash pickups will go from twice-a-week to once-a-week effective July 1. All residential customers may get additional polycarts at $6 each and commercial users will pay $20.40 for each added polycart.
