Local gardeners scurrying in recent weeks to cover early emerging plants know that arctic temps and subfreezing temps and tender blossoms don’t mix.

A total of 8,004 students were named to the 2020 fall semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, including 3,449 students named to the President’s Honor Roll for earning an A grade in all their courses.

Hennessey High School’s graduating class of 2021 is accepting nominations until Monday, March 1, for the HHS Hall of Fame awards. Two winners will be selected by the class and will be honored during this year’s graduation ceremony.

The Annual Lenten Series begins this week, Feb. 17 through March 24. All services will be held at the Kingfisher Nazarene Church and begin at noon. The last Service will be on Wednesday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. Each week a different church will provide the message as well as a boxed lunch.
